Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Melody Magnet. This Return and Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, replacements, cancellations, and damaged-order claims are handled for purchases made through our store.
By placing an order with Melody Magnet, you agree to this policy.
1. General Return Policy
All sales are considered final once an order has been processed, fulfilled, or shipped, except where a return, refund, replacement, or cancellation is required by applicable law or approved by Melody Magnet Staff under this policy.
We may accept returns only when the item is:
- unused;
- in its original condition;
- in its original packaging;
- not damaged, altered, washed, modified, customized, or misused;
- returned with proof of purchase;
- approved by us before being sent back.
Customers must contact Melody Magnet Staff before returning any item. Items sent back without prior approval may be refused and may not be eligible for a refund.
2. Return Window
Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
After 7 days from the delivery date, we may refuse the return request unless applicable law requires otherwise.
3. Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns for:
- items that have been used;
- items damaged by misuse, improper handling, accidents, wear and tear, water damage, or unauthorized modification;
- items with missing parts, packaging, manuals, accessories, or components;
- items returned without approval;
- items sent to the wrong return address;
- items marked as final sale, clearance, promotional, or discounted;
- customized or personalized items;
- orders delayed due to shipping carriers, customs, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, fulfillment delays, or events outside our control;
- buyer’s remorse after the product has been processed or shipped, unless we approve the return.
4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact Melody Magnet Staff within 48 hours of delivery.
To review your claim, we may require:
- your order number;
- clear photos or videos of the item;
- photos of the packaging;
- a description of the issue;
- any other information reasonably needed to verify the claim.
If we determine that the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error or a fulfillment issue, we may offer, at our discretion:
- a replacement;
- a store credit;
- a partial refund;
- a full refund.
We reserve the right to deny claims that are incomplete, submitted late, fraudulent, exaggerated, caused by misuse, or unsupported by evidence.
5. Product Function and Compatibility
Melody Magnet products are decorative novelty items that may include music, sound, NFC, magnetic, light-up, or display-style features depending on the product model purchased.
Functionality may vary depending on the exact product version, customer device, NFC compatibility, surface type, environment, battery level, charging method, or user handling.
We are not responsible for issues caused by:
- incompatible phones or devices;
- improper use;
- failure to charge the product properly;
- placing the product on unsuitable surfaces;
- water exposure;
- dropping or damaging the product;
- modifying the product;
- using unauthorized accessories or chargers;
- normal wear and tear.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method when possible.
Refund processing times depend on your bank, card provider, payment processor, or Shopify Payments. Melody Magnet Staff is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or payment processors.
Shipping fees, handling fees, insurance fees, customs fees, duties, taxes, and other third-party charges are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund is due to our verified error.
7. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the return is due to our verified error, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method. Melody Magnet Staff is not responsible for returned items that are lost, stolen, delayed, damaged in transit, or sent to the wrong address.
8. Cancellations and Order Changes
Orders may only be cancelled or changed if the request is made before the order has been processed, packed, fulfilled, or shipped.
Because orders may be processed quickly, we cannot guarantee that cancellation or change requests will be accepted.
Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
9. Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout.
We are not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, returned, or delivered incorrectly because of:
- incorrect names;
- wrong addresses;
- missing apartment, unit, or buzzer numbers;
- incorrect postal codes;
- refused delivery;
- failed delivery attempts;
- unclaimed packages.
If an order is returned to sender because of customer-provided information or failed delivery, the customer may be responsible for reshipping fees.
10. Chargebacks and Fraudulent Claims
If you believe there is an issue with your order, please contact Melody Magnet Staff first so we can try to resolve it.
We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks, provide order records to payment processors, and refuse future service to customers who submit fraudulent claims, abusive disputes, false statements, or repeated chargebacks.
11. Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
12. Custom Order Submission Policy***
Custom Melody Magnet orders require 9 customer-provided images before production can begin. Images must be submitted to melodymagnetusa@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase and must include the order number.
If images are not received within 7 days, Melody Magnet reserves the right to proceed with the Original Mix version shown on the product page in order to avoid production delays.
Failure to submit images within the required timeframe is the responsibility of the customer. Once production has started, custom image requests, design changes, cancellations, refunds, or replacements related to missing or late image submissions cannot be accommodated.
By placing a custom order, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
Custom Melody Magnet orders are personalized products. Customers who fail to submit required images within 7 days may receive the Original Mix version instead. Orders are not eligible for refunds, chargebacks, or replacements due to late or missing image submissions.
